Northwest Region (includes Istanbul)
April to Mid-September: Dry and hot. July and August are hottest with afternoon temperatures, 28'C (82'F). Beach weather is from June to September.
November to February: Wet and cool.
Central Arid Plateau (includes Cappadocia and Konya)
April to Mid-September: Very warm, dry summers, June to August. April, May and September are pleasantly warm. Evenings can be chilly.
November to March: Cold, wet winters with some snow.
Southern Mediterranean and Western Aegean coasts (includes Kas and Antalya)
April to October: Hot, dry. Water temperature remains above 16'C (60'F), even in winter. Beach weather is April to November.
November to March: Mild and wet. The south coast is protected from the cold winds from the north by the Taurus Mountains which keep temperatures mind, 14 to 17'C (57 to 63'F) in the afternoons.
